  • City Square  -Leeds' City Square is numbered among one of the city's most distinguished landmarks as it is also overlooked by a statue of Edward the Black Prince. It is a great starting point for the tour of the city as well as to watch people.

     
  • Millennium Square - This gigantic square which can hold up to 20,000 people is often celebrated as Leeds' version of London's Trafalgar Square. It is flanked by many important buildings such as the Civic Hall, the Leeds General Infirmary and the Civic Theater.

     
  • Armley Mills - The Armley Mills was once the world's largest woollen mill, but today it has become a museum that allows visitors to learn about Leeds' industrial past by seeing some of the old-style steam engines in full working order.

     
  • City Art Gallery - Lovers of arts are sure to be delighted by the variety of artworks on display at Leeds' City Art Gallery such as watercolors, paintings, prints and sculptures. In fact, this gallery is reputed to house some of the most outstanding works of British Art ourside of London.

     
  • Royal Armouries - The Royal Armouries opened in 1996 and has since received warm interest from a steady number of visitors who come to see the exhibits and learn about the atrocities of war. There are demonstrations throughout the day, and the place is only a five-minute walk from the city center.

     
  • Kirkstall Abbey - Leeds' Kirkstall Abbey is a historical landmark that survived Henry VIII's attack on England's monasteries. It is situated three miles west of the city center and is well preserved as a place of spirituality and tranquility.

     
  • Granary Wharf - This exotic and atmospheric market is housed beneath Leeds City Rail Station near the city's waterfront with a mind-boggling number of products to be found and purchased. A great break from the many chain stores in the city center. From here visitors can also follow the Waterfront Heritage Trail to explore Leeds' traces of its industrail past.
